Professors from East London University visit HOSC
On February 2nd, Professors Barbara Harrison and Iain MacRury from the School of Media and Culture Research in East London University of England held a productive meeting with Professor Jin Yuanpu, director of the HOSC. Two topics dominated the meeting’s conversation. First, they exchanged thoughts about the cooperation between the Humanistic Olympic Study Center of RUC and the Olympic Research Center of ELU. They agreed to share many materials and findings concerning Olympic research. Second, they discussed the joint research in media culture and creative culture. During the meeting they both briefly introduced what they are studying now and came to agreement on many aspects. More intensive cooperation is expected in the future.
Sam held a lecture in RUC
Professor Sam Cater who is from Emily Carr Institute in Canada is having his class about the World Gardening to the students who are doing their Doctor and Master degree at Renmin University of China. What Professor Sam Carter is focusing in China now is an exhibition designing project with Humanistic Olympic Studies Center at Renmin University of China and The Chinese Millennium Museum. At same time, Sam is also glad to share his teaching experience with students from Renmin University of China on Criticism Literature, World Gardening and Comments on the Cinematic. And also the new western teaching method which Sam takes help the students have a better understanding in these areas and have their eyes open.
